Our volunteers come from across the Upstate.
They answer calls on our crisis line, assist with events and fundraising. Some volunteers serve on our board of directors and represent us as Ambassadors. Volunteers also help with childcare, assist in our front office, sort donations and clothing at our Resale Shop, teach living skills classes, and complete many needed tasks around the shelter.
Volunteer groups are needed to assist with shelter improvements (painting, room-makeovers, etc) and to help with other tasks throughout the year.
Both women and men are welcome to serve as volunteers at Safe Harbor.
Volunteers make a real difference in the lives of the women and children we help. If you’d like to see how good volunteering at Safe Harbor can make you feel – and the difference you can make in someone’s life – contact Lisa Nalley, our Volunteer Coordinator, at email@example.com
**Please note – volunteer applications, trainings, background checks and screenings are required for all volunteer positions involving service with our clients and children.
