Safe Harbor Holiday Giving

2017 HOLIDAY PROGRAM: GIFT SUGGESTIONS AND DELIVERY INFORMATION

Each December, we accept new, unwrapped gifts of clothing, toys, and household items for the individuals and families we serve. Many women who have suffered domestic abuse have no other resources for the holidays, and all the women and children served by Safe Harbor are grateful for your gifts.

In 2016, several hundred individuals benefited from our Holiday Program! We rely on the generosity in our community to help make the holiday season brighter for women, children, and youth whose lives have been shattered by domestic violence.

How to Adopt -A- Family:  If you would like to adopt a family, please consider selecting one or more individual women and several children/ youth for us to group together as families.

In order to protect confidentiality, and because we do not always know in advance the number of people who will need assistance, we are unable to offer specific families to adopt.

Please let us know by email at holidayprogram@safeharborsc.org the number of women and the number of children/youth you would like to adopt, as well as the age and gender of each child. Our staff can suggest ages, genders, and sizes – in addition to items that are most needed.

We request that individuals or groups spend approximately $100 per person, but we are grateful for gifts in any amount. Every age group including adults can use underwear and socks, as well as winter clothing (such as hats, gloves and mittens, scarves, robes, pajamas, and jackets). Women and teens appreciate gift cards in $20 increments. Please see our 2017 gift guide (below) for more details!
