Getting Started

Before hosting a fundraiser, please review our Fundraising Guidelines (found on the right.) When you submit your Fundraiser Proposal below, you will be asked to acknowledge that you have read and agree to adhere to these guidelines.

Fundraising Guidelines

1. Prior Approval: Any fundraising event or project benefiting Safe Harbor must be approved in advance by the Development Team.
2. Beneficiary: Safe Harbor is the beneficiary of your fundraiser, not its sponsor.
3. Financial Risk: Your fundraiser must be financially self-sustaining, without contribution from or financial risk to Safe Harbor.
4. No Tax Advice: Please refrain from providing tax advice to event/project contributors.
5. Alcohol: If alcohol is present at your fundraiser, Safe Harbor requires proof of age and accompanying signage be posted.
6. Legal Obligations: You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, licenses, insurance, and permission from local authorities. Safe Harbor is not liable for any injuries sustained by volunteers or participants related to your fundraiser. Safe Harbor cannot assume any type of liability for your fundraiser.
7. Rights Reserved: Safe Harbor reserves the right to cancel a fundraiser at any time if it is determined that the project does not honor Safe Harbor's mission, vision, or guiding principles.
